Maureen Geddes, MBA, C.H.R.P.

Founder and president of both geddesglobal and CANGRAM International Inc., Maureen Geddes has worked with over 75 organizations in Canada and internationally since 1996 on expanding worldviews and creating inclusive work environments.  Her specific areas of expertise include strategic inspirational keynotes, and workplace education and investigations related to gender communication, cultural diversity and inspiring mutual respect in a business context. Maureen’s passion is making the possible, practical – by addressing the systemic changes necessary to transform work environments.

Her background includes the responsibility for diversity and employment equity at a large Canadian energy company. In full partnership with the unionized leadership, Ms. Geddes and her team successfully moved the organization forward through education, policy changes, and the creation of an operational Diversity Plan.

On the international stage, Ms. Geddes has represented Canadian business on an international “Breaking the Glass Ceiling” panel in Tokyo, at the request of the Japanese Ministry of Labour. She also traveled to India, where she met with leaders of business and government and spoke to various audiences, including the National Institute for Personnel Management, and the International Institute for Human Potential Development. In 2005 and 2006, Maureen spoke at the International Healthy Cities Conferences in Taiwan, with a focus on bringing synergy to public, private, and NGO efforts.

Ms. Geddes is a Certified Human Resource Professional (C.H.R.P.), an Avatar® Master, and holds a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Windsor. Maureen is a Professional Member of the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers (CAPS), and currently serves as past president of the Cultural Coalition of Chatham-Kent. As CEO of GIFTE Canada (Global Institute for Freedom, Transformation & Enlightenment), she facilitates events on conscious leadership and authentic communication.

She is co-author of “Expert Women Who Speak, Speak Out” (Volumes I and V) and publisher of “IMAGINE Chatham-Kent 2023!”, is an active member of the Conference Board of Canada’s Policy Roundtable on Immigration, and is the recipient of a Government of Ontario 2008 Newcomer Champion Award.
